As a result, it quickly became Australia’s leading online marketplace for buying and selling business and franchise opportunities.

One of Australia’s largest online marketplaces for buying and selling businesses, SEEK Business offers ready-to-run business opportunities such as franchise or licence businesses from as little as under $10,000 to well established, successful, multi-national brands. At any one time, there are some 11,000 business opportunities advertised on SEEK Business.

Most of Seek’s business seekers are in the 35-55 age group, on a well above average income, with a university degree and already investing. About 40% are ready to buy a business, while 60% are browsing the ads and could be tempted with the right opportunity.

In addition to other portals, we offer the ability to list your business on commercialrealestate.com.au as well. The business section of commecialrealestate.com.au generates a good number of enquiries for our customers. Formerly known as “Domain Business”, this portal is highly recommended for all types of business, regardless of where in Australia you’re based.

Private Listings

It’s not possible to list your business privately yourself on commercialrealestate.com.au; this is only possible via a subscribing member of their site. By listing with forsalebyowner.com.au you’ll be able to have your business listed on their site, using our subscription.

Please note that commercialrealestate.com.au is the only portal listed here which is not included by default in our packages. This is available as an optional add-on for $350 with our Business Essentials Plus + package.

PI Business

propertyinvestor.com.au has long been an excellent portal for Australian property investors looking for investment properties. In recent years business sales have also become a prominent component of the site, and the business section now attracts a good number of visitors each month.

Private Listings

Property Investor does not allow private business listings on their site by members of the general public.

However, For Sale By Owner has an exclusive arrangement with Property Investor, and by listings through us, you will be able to advertise your business on propertyinvestor.com.au At this time, this is an exclusive arrangement which only forsalebyowner.com.au is able to offer its clients.

Property Investor generates a good number of enquiries and should be part of any business advertising campaign.

Juwai

Juwai is one of Asia’s most prominent real estate portals, and lists properties in more than 111 countries, with close to 3 million active listings at this time. Whereas juwai.com is mainly used by Chinese buyers, juwai.asia appeals to many buyers in other Asian countries other than mainland China.

Australian businesses are highly sought-after by many Asian buyers and investors. In mainland China, many international real estate websites are blocked. This is not the case for Juwai and this is one of the reasons for its popularity and dominance in terms of Chinese investors and buyers looking to buy properties and businesses in Australia.

There are two types of Chinese buyers; 1. Those that live in mainland China, and 2. Those that live in Australia. Website Upgrades

When users search for businesses online, the results are often ordered in such a way that upgraded listings are shown first. Not all sites offer the option to upgrade a listing, and it’s not always necessary to upgrade your listing. If you’re unsure, please let us know and we will be happy to advise you if upgrading your listing would be worth it or not.

The cost of upgrades can depend on availability. Please let us know if you would like your listing upgraded on any or all sites.

Seek Business Feature Upgrade

With a featured listing upgrade on Seek Business, your ad remains boosted for approximately one month until it reaches a target of double the amount of views based on an average of other ads in a similar industry and location. The ad rotates between the top two spots of a relevant search page where it’s marked as ‘featured’.

Property Investor Premier Upgrade

Property Investor (www.propertyinvestor.com.au) features premier listings on its homepage. These listings attract significantly more views than other listings. Premier listings are subject to availability. Please let us know if you would like your business upgraded to a premier listing.

Social Media Marketing

Social Media advertising can be an effective and highly targeted way of reaching people in specific areas who may be interested in buying your business.

Prior to launching your social media campaign, we’ll be in touch to suggest what geographic areas and user demographics we believe should be targeted, although this is ultimately up to you.

The main social media sites on which we advertise are Facebook and Instagram.

Ad Creation/Design

Generally speaking, we will create an advertisement for you based on the main image and some of the text of your listing. However, we are also happy to create the advertisement in any way you like, if you have a specific design in mind. Text is somewhat limited on social media campaigns, and for this reason, we recommend short and compelling text.

Budget

The minimum cost for a social media campaign is $200, although you can of course budget any amount in excess of this for your campaign.
